Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed

Breezy Hill Baptist Church believes that there is no greater ministry than that of reaching the youth of the world with the gospel of Christ.

The Awana “Truth and Training” Club is a discipleship program that not only presents a clear presentation of God's plan of salvation to young people, but also trains them to grow spiritually and to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Awana Truth & Training Club

The word “Awana” (Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed) is derived from 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Simply put, our goal is to place instruction from God's word into the lives of our young people.

During each meeting, club members participate in activities such as bible study, Awana games, scripture memorization, and award presentations. Club members also have the opportunity to participate in many other events such as state-wide bible quiz competition, summer camps, missionary projects, and community services. These activities help instill a desire to stay in God's word, and to embed principles that will help guide them for years to come.
