The Great Commission is the clearest and most distinctive function of the church. Through world-wide missions, weekly outreach, community involvement, and personal evangelism, we strive to further the glorious message of salvation in Jesus Christ.
The key word for the life of a Christian is the word - growth. Every Christian is to be growing spiritually through the Word of God. Therefore, there is a growing or learning process whereby we are "conformed to the image of Christ." This process is vital to every Christian and accomplished through preaching, teaching, and personal study of the Bible.
The highest privilege and honor of the church is to collectively worship the Lord. As we sing together, pray together, worship together, give thanks together, and praise Him together, we only begin to give Him the glory due His name.
Perhaps the greatest need in the life of every Christian is their need for fellowship. This is not simply socializing together, but loving, helping, caring, encouraging, edifying, and admonishing one another.
Although the business of life often captures our attentions and controls our time, a Christian is not to use their abilities, talents, and gifts for the furtherance of their own life only, but to serve their Creator. The New Testament defines every Christian as a "minister" with a supreme opportunity to serve God through their local church.
